This current week of June 2025, a large portion of America (The United States) has been experiencing a heat wave of average daily temperatures of 95 degrees to as high as 105 degrees. In the state of Maryland, where I live, we are expected to get relief from the very hot weather by Friday, June 27th when the temperature is supposed to be in the mid 80s. I really feel for people who do not have access to air conditioning during this heat wave. The use of fans does help, but they do not cool like air conditioners do. I used The Paint program on my computer to create this artwork that shows two silhouetted people outside in the very hot sunny weather trying to stay cool and get relief by drinking bottles of cold water.
