Picture this.... you are walking down the street. You are very aware of the tornadoes going on that day. You heard a tornado went through the towns of Xenia and Saylor Park. Surely one won't happen in DePauw, IN. So, you decide to go on a walk. You begin to notice debris flying in the air. Then, you see a wall cloud. But you don't see a clear funnel, so you think that maybe the debris is coming from a storm's miles away. Then, you hear neighbors say TORNADO!!!! You look a bit closer... and sure enough that isn't just a wall cloud, it is a tornado! You see a house go up in the air and the tornado turns it into dust. You then see a little funnel drop down, but it is not big nor is it staying on the ground. But again, you see debris just flying in the air. Luckily for you the tornado is moving away from you, but you stand there in complete shock and horror.

April 3, 1974, had 7 F5 tornadoes. This was 3rd one on the day. This tornado never had a clear funnel, yet it still causes catastrophic destruction as it went through DePauw, IN. Leaving part of the town to waste. Damage all too familiar, debark trees, houses were slabbed, pavement ripped from the road, debris in some cases were granulated.
