I see alot of phots that have won and I say to myself why is this the first time im seeing this pictures? i would have voted on them. Just curious

Here's a reason that might be so! I entered the "Letter B contest" way back in April. It isn't a blind contest so that's why I'm mentioning it. The contest just closed a couple of days ago and will be decided only by the FAR committee members. If you didn't see my entry way back then, you might wonder where the heck did that come from.
This could be the reason when the winner of a contest us revealed you didn't see the image. :o)

I think sometimes if you have paid to enter a contest you can't actually afford to promote the work and therefore unless you are following that person you won't see the image.
