This is wonderful, LowRider. I love the color. And the lighting is pretty good as well. This picture reminds me of the pictures I took at the wild life reserve in Cache Oklahoma. I took several pictures of different animals there, and I was so proud of the way they turned out. I never knew Oklahoma could be so beautiful until I took those pictures. I just wish I had some way to get them on here. Any way, this is a very lovely picture. I love it.

Thank you very much Brandon!! I am excited for you to get to the point where you can post on FAR!! This pic could have been better if the face had a bit more detail by going down a step on exposure, but only took 2 frames as the big boy was not shedding any of that loving feeling!! I was a bit intimidated as he continued to approach me.

You have some of the most amazing shots I have ever seen. This is awesome. The animals look close enough to touch. Gorgeous!

The composition of this photo is great! I like the lightness of winter grass and snow in the foreground. Standing in the middle of it is these two big dark bodies framed by the distant blue of the mountians! Very good!

nice capture of these huge animals...one suggestion, if you had adjusted your light meter -1, you may have gotten more detail in the dark areas of the buffaloes (auto meters assume the focal point is a neutral grey, by adjusting the meter set point so that it "knows" the subject is dark, it would lighten up the details in the dark areas of the buffalo)...or am I telling you something you already know? :)

Thank you very much pwscanlon!! Yes, I do know this, but didn't do it because the sun was at my back, was conserned about overexposure and only hung around for 2 frames as I certainly wasn't getting that 'lovin' feeling from the big boy! Thank you again!!

haha, I totally understand!

Nice shot Low, love these guys, but I wouldn't want to ride them, isn't one hog enough for you. I think this is framed very well and the lighting is perfect as well as the clarity. Nice DOF and the sky in the back almost looks like a painting, very nice.

Good composition and great contrast. I only wish there was a bit more detail to the faces - but that's a hard thing to get with black eyes in black faces in shadow.

Excellent photo, I'm from Australia and have never seen buffalo for real before, but through this photo I now have a better image to remember them by. I do however find it sad to see the yellow tag on one of their ears; are they farm stock? I personally would have liked the photo better if I could think of the animals as free ranging, but all the same, excellent quality!

Thank you Maglatron! Not farm stock, tagged because he has attacked humans before.

Puts a whole new outlook on things for me, I'm almost glad he's tagged now!

Just a beautiful shot of these buffalo. You got really close, and the colors and clarity are great too. I love that you can see the green trees on the hills in the background, and the moistness on their noses. Just a great shot! :)

Always like to view animals or pets, they are uplifting to see. These are Bison or Buffalo ? I never really get to see them much around here. Neat to see them together. Coloration, framing and focus all in synch. Nice photo LowRider.
