This is a good entry for the contest. And although it is a creative capture that most of your viewers have not seen before. But it is a tough one to compose. Keeping the subject direct and to the point is obviously difficult in this since the outlining frame is darker than the subject. But your composition has used the rule of thirds nicely and has made your viewer stop and look at the focal point that is insinuated. You are right about the lighting creating a glow. I probably would be tempted to bring out the essence of the subject by trying to make the lighting more delicate and less saturated in color. I would like to see this image in B&W as well to see if the image can be more enhanced. It is a truly interesting take. Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest. NR

This is such a lovely piece. I enjoy everything about it. The glow and color are easy to look at, and I like how you have it framed. Thanks for sharing this adorable work :)

I think, in my opinion, it should be the balance of the composition that's required here. Well anyway, its up to the voters to chose tue best image.
Nice monochromatic presentation.
Impressive mixed media rendition. Excellent colors & textures. Interesting modification. Great lighting & framing. Thanks for sharing! Good luck!

like the orange lay out tells an interesting story behind it like the way you used the whole frame gives off some harmony

This is an awesome sculpture, but I think your impact would be much stronger by getting in closer to your subject. Cutting out the lines made by the glass windows, this would bring your subject closer. I don't believe that these edges are adding a thing to the composition. The wall behind the sculpture and even the light hitting the floor making it lighter at the edge, all of these give some nice mood and color, a good overall backdrop showing off the main subject.

interesting statue, but the way it was shot takes from it's beauty
first of all, the lines on both side distract and also the colors of the background being so saturated make it difficult to see the statue

While I'D be a bit hesitant about calling that sculpture 'lovely' it's definitely an interesting looking piece!
And your photo of it looks GREAT! It's definitely a lot of fun to view!

Cool capture of this illusion. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of the thing looking like it is floating is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balance and eye interesting to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall.
