This is a different and very interesting take on Electra. I guess this scene is placed in the time before the murder.
I like especially that she is a petty young girl. That illuminates her character and reasons for the deadly revenge. The building in the background brings us into the reality of Greek. The lightning and clouds make the connection to Greek mythology and the dramatic versions of the story.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Cleo. In the minute I saw this lady coming out from a church after a christening, I was thinking of Electra. The only problem was that she was carrying a baby. The only thing I could think of was to replace the baby with a big vase. Tricky.

Tricky indeed, but well done. I assumed that she was carrying something which did not feed into the story.

Very nice portrait I love the lighting. It adds a soft framing at the round figure. I like the lighting and the way it captures the color of the dress. Thanks for sharing.

Was she your model? Interesting configuration of elements. The effects of your work are very well put together. The vignette around the scene helps focus us on the central figure.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Gary. No she was not a model, but a photo I took of a Greek lady coming out from a church after a christening.

Amazing, like turning back the clock a hundred years.

The concept and colors are grand. These notes are just my opinion of course! The way she's been put together seems a bit like a paper doll. Her hand is too small proportionately and not real enough in the way it's holding the vase, and its color is slightly off from her general skin tone. Her head is a bit larger than her body and her shoulders. The gown is a gorgeous color with fabulous folds and draping is perfect where where her knee is bent especially . Glad you shared this piece.

This is exactly how she looked like Paulah. It almost sounds like you think I have put different body parts together, but I have not. LOL Thanks a lot for the review.

Oh dear i hope you didn't think i was insulting you or something!! I've forgotten now who 'she' is or where the image came from. I'll look at your notes again. I'm so sorry but i'm glad you have such a great sense of humor :-)
