horrid creature so I had to chose it, coloured as the leaves. Imagine, gaily traipsing round the greenery and that thing is hiding there, safe in the knowledge of its instinctive camouflage. However did you get that photograph? Gives me cold shudders.

Thank you for your review Renate-Bertodi. I took this picture at the National Aquarium in Baltimore MD USA. It was behind glass and I zoomed in for a close up do to the beautiful emerald green color. I don't like snakes either. Yet how naturally beautifully colored. Thank you again ~ Steve

Yes indeed. That was the main reason I went from an iPhone7 to an iPhone11. The camera is far superior. I was worth the money in my opinion.

Hey Steve!
Even though I am not a huge fan of snakes haha, this image is really eye catching! The scaley body of the boa is well photographed and shows up nicely. The dark contrast is great and makes for an excellent presentation. Good luck, this is beautiful!

Thanks a lot Brady. I'm no fan of snakes either. I feel very bold as long as they are behind glass. Thank you for your review and very generous rating. I took this photo at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD. ~ Steve

I'm glad you showed the boa's eye, because that's the most interesting feature of your fine photo. Gorgeous green colors, and the neck section adds extra movement and interest.

A beautiful close up picture
that gives me the "Willie's" I have a horror of Snakes like many others. He/She is a beautiful creature curled up in the grass matching it's scaly skin. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
S as child, I lived in Southern Rhodesia for four years. My mother found me aged 3yrs. sitting on the back door step clutching a baby Puff Adder & stretching it between my tiny hands....my mother screamed & as luck would have it I let go ...the snake slithered off & I lived to tell the tale!!!

Oh my goodness Susan. It is amazing that as a little girl you were playing with a baby Puff Adder! Thank goodness your mother came just in time. What a story. Thank you so much for your review Susan. I too am not fond of snakes yet this one seemed so beautiful in its own way. I don't think I would have admired it so much if it wasn't behind glass lol. Thank you so much Susan. I hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy ~ Steve

Wow I am not a fan of Cobras but wow in detail. I can practically count the scales on this guy. Excellent color, focus, and exposure.
A great contest entry.
I have to say I do see a dragon in this image LOL
I like dragons better than cobra's (cause they aren't real.) hahaha

Wow, what a dramatic piece, Steve. The way you have cropped and framed it is perfect and immensely artistic. Great nuanced lighting with well placed light and shadow. A creative and original entry for the contest. Best of luck. Ed.

Wow BFF! How did I miss this one!
Wow is a word that does not do this justice in any way.

The colors are screaming off my screen.

I just love how you captured this and how you presented it as well.

Just wow! Lessons?

LOL. Easy to overlook a snake. Lessons? This was one from the lesson "Go out and find a friend" assignment you gave me the earlier. "Jake No Legs" is now a friend of mine. Thank you BFF for your wonderful review and rating. You are the Best BFF ~ BFF
