One of my favorite flowers! Their bright colors bring a cheerful appearance. You've represented them well in your work. I enjoy your choice and placement of the colors. The shading you've used creates nicely detailed petals. Lovely work!

Cool,Brenda!
I frequently have reviewers b***hing to me about the facial features on my female figures ( in my older drawings ) not being 'photo realistic' but that's 'just how it is' as Photo Realism isn't ( and never has been ) a part of my personal artistic style!
So ... I'm really enjoying your experimental presentation of these botanical specimens,my friend!
'Good Show'!

Thank you for reviewing Sean ... your remarks are welcome and interesting. I too don't do photorealistic in the norm but find my stuff is usually way down ... i have recently been trying realistic but ... well i think my drawing improves but somehow they all end up with a bit of a characature result. and it's the realistic that gets the places. I often wonder if photographers assess trad. Art on the merits of a good photo. Just a thought.

These are pretty Xenia's.
Wonderful and wild.
The choice of color combinations of purple and deep red works well.
There is a nice variety of shapes to the flowers. And the stem flowing through the art adds energy. Interesting to see the Botanical names.
Good work and nice technique. Good luck in the contest.

Flowers flowers everywhere! Lol...very cool. The floral forms is good. The shading is good. The depth is good. The details is good. You know Brenda what would be cool? If you filled in the white areas with color. You could 3 different approaches to it..1. in a darker green..maybe in leave form..2 blue for a sky representation..3 ) do a design or pattern I. Multiple colors..they are all suggestions that could give it that additional ump..still this a cool creation and great job overall.

Flowers e everywhere yes you should know. I do appreciate Your background suggestion. It has a faint pencil in blue hatched on but I blended it and lost impact. I think I will run some copies and use your suggestions to see the effect. 👍

A good looking image posted here into the competition! I am though puzzled as to why, when your lovely bloom names start with the letter Z, your work is entered into an X competition? Otherwise, nicely drawn!

This is just lovely Brenda and I feel that your experiment is a success, the various colors you chose are working very well to show the Zinnia blooms, appreciate the shape and structure and the detail in each flower, well shown centers too. I like The the vining stem with the tiny yellow flowers growing on it too. Well arranged and presented! Like the way you fill the page , Best wishes to you in this contest!
