This pose is indeed perfect. It seems as if the Magpie want to show us how cold it is. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the sharpness of detail and the realism of color and light. The soft background is unobtrusive. The Magpie stands well out from it. The bird is excellent placed within the frame. The photo is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.
