Where's the Beef? What a wonderful entry for the MIL. Clever, creative and cute. Your choice of color palette is perfect. Kiddos and yahoo for oils. I have a love and hate relationship with oils. So messy because I really don't have an art area that I can't love working with them. Yes, I totally agree with you about Ranch life being hard but too the hard work reaps many joys. This is a beautiful oil painting. The calf on the right is especially done well. The bull to its left, my left, I can't tell if it is about to moo or what with the hump on its neck. The sky is really nice as are the greens in their depiction. The left fence looks about right in its height, but the right one too high, maybe the left one slightly. But it still is beautiful work. I like the rocks in the distance and the little black and white dog. I wish I had a 5 and a half as you deserve more than a 5 but lacking a little, a tiny little, for a "6" although the way some expect 5s for most things, I should give a "6".
