nice capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this gull on the beach by the chairs with waves coming in the background is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

This is a beautiful shot from your phone. You have included lots of nice detail for the viewer to see. However, I might have shot it in landscape mode not portrait, so that we can see more of it. It is visually interesting, has wonderful color that is not over saturated and has perfect exposure.

Thank you for your reviewing comments. I did take a number of shots and have landscape that I may post at a later date. It's a beautiful long beach with sand dune backdrop.

The problem with photos with a phone is the pixilation, it's a pity as the composition is very nice - especially with the partial straw parasol showing at the top.
There's something very odd happening in the sky too, a large square area of very pixilated blue, different from the rest of the sky, which might be worth doing a bit of work on before the contest deadline - I don't know whether you can see it? But it showed up on both my computer and iPad.
An unusual shot (which I always like!), with good colours and, as I said before, good composition.
Very good luck in the contest.

Yes I relooked at this after pixilation was pointed out and spotted the funny blue patch in the sky. Thank yiu for commenting. I will have another look at it. I havent seen this happen before.

I have had a look at the original and it's all ok nothing in the sky so I have reloaded it. May be something happened in the resize for FAR

That's I interesting will look at it on my pc. I only cropped it and changed it to fit FAR spec. I haven't noticed that happening before. Thank you for pointing that out

Hi I went back in to the original which is sharper than the one in FAR so I have reloaded it. May be it lost something in the resize.

I like the accompanying artist's notes. Indeed, the sea was peaceful and the waves were gentle in this scene. The inclusion of that hut or native roof made me imagine of the many memories spent in this shore. The seagull also added so much life in this piece. Pretty artistic presentation but the sky as the background is really different. Clarity of the motion of the water and the colors are accurate. Wish you the best in this contest.
