California doesn't have flowers like these...these are striking, from the center to the petals...they almost don't look real..it's a beautifully composed shot, with the pink tipped flowers surrounding the pale lemon colored ones...very well done!

I had to stop and review this, because I wanted to read your artist notes. WOW! What an array of colors of the same species together. Beautiful framing and details. I like the darkened deep background, the greenery and each flower with multi colors and appearing a bit unreal. Only unreal, because I have never seen this flower. Excellent composition and capture of rarity.

A festival of colors. Nice treatment of these small cone flowers. They have an almost three dimensional quality they way the pop out from the darkened background. I like the sharpening treatment as well. That gives a lot of edge detail to the petals of the flowers. Lovely treatment and image.

I enjoyed the vivid splash of colors. The combination of light and dark is what produced a striking effect.
The sharpness gave the eyes a get close, in seeing the tiniest details. Picture crop, enhanced the picture frame. No more work needed.
