This painting kicks some ass right here. I love the mood, the colors, the brushwork the subject, its all so great. Get rid of the halo around the legs and this will be perfect.

Hard to see since this looks to be a photo of the actual work... but boy did you give this Irish some emotion. He looks as though he is deep in prayer. Thanks for sharing.

very nice painting simpledite, i like the dark colors. You did an awesome detail on his hands, look real. The feeling it provoked in me is the frustration of growing old it would be so bad if your body did go out on you good job

This is a very touching painting. You captured the heart of the whole subject. The detailing is remarkable displayed and the choice of colors is perfect. Excellent piece of art.

This is a great image simpledlte. It is very serene in it's depiction of solitude. You're use of shadows give it a somewhat sad quality in my eyes...but in a good way. I think you've done a great job of capturing a lone soul in prayer. Very beautiful.

What a touching painting this is! Works in watercolor really amaze me when done in such a realistic manner. A pencil is my key to realism. I could never perform this depth and emotion with paint. Of course "can't never could". Maybe I just never had the right teacher...

I have not had an art teacher either. The things I do are purely off the cuff and without official training. Thanks for the compliments, you will never know until you try.

It do show how much he is sincere about prayer. Today in world there are not many people realize how much PRAYER life is important in our daily life. Good job on painting

.
This communicates the old man's anguish very well.
His bowed grey head, gnarled hands and walking stick tell the
story.
What is the large black area he appears to be holding? I am unable
to see the details, because of the scan.

always good to see through another's eyes, he is actually in a foggy moor setting and leaning against his shepherd's stick as he stands to pray. I have received so many great reviews on this piece. Thank you.
