This is certainly a striking photograph, Wolfdancer. My only suggestion was going to be to crop a tad off the top. But your notes tell me your purpose for this editing this capture, so that nulls that. :) My only other comments, then, are this is lovely; colors and hues highly pleasing, sedating and relaxing. The vibrant hard to ignore (but who would want to!) red beak and eyes of your black beauty are smashing; subdued by the restful mood set by the blue water. The elegant black swan posed with graceful neck arch and passive positioning of head is perfect, positioned perfectly within the frame. The droplet(s) of water a natural master-touch. If the first and largest droplet hadn't been blurred, so much the better. But just as it is, a beautiful photograph.

The shapes created by the swan and the ripples are really good-to make a strong composition crop about 25% off the frame at the top-too much blue over the swan

I like this photo very much. I actually like that it's not cropped tight to the swan. The water ripples and the two little drops of water appearing to come from his mouth makes the photo. Good job!

Just love this one of yours.
We have these black swans here on my home patch and yes they are lovely and the eye is more distinct that the common white swan.
Caught beautifully but I would take a good slice off the top

:) Thank you, Snapdragon! They are quite lovely!! I don't know, it must be my crazy perception but it drives me nuts even considering cropping this tighter. I truly appreciate and value the feedback and insights and am flattered this caught your eye. All my best. Lisa :)

Wow! What an amazing shot ,and I love the way you have framed it! They have such a nice bend it there neck and the black color of them is stunning especially with the blue water in behind. The drop of water falling from it's beak is beautiful and the rings of water are perfect left in this shot. This would make such an amazing greeting card.I wish I had more stars to give you.

This is a very pretty and very interesting photograph.

I love your composition. Your swan dominates the bottom, right part of the frame. The water dripping from her bill causes wonderful ripples in concentric circles at the bottom, moving upward to the top where the motion becomes lost in the distance. This is quite interesting. I like your crop of the swan too. Her long neck curving in and out of the frame is visually appealing for me.

Technically this is very nicely done and I have no suggestions for change.
