I like both the ferns and their lush green as well as the waterfall. If you had cropped off the top section of the waterfall it wouldn't be so obvious that the scene is constructed. This judicious cropping would also remove the bright areas near the top. Bright areas always attract the eye and I believe in most cases they should not be around the edges.

Thanks so much, in this instance the lighting is to highlight the tree fern and is natural dappled light that you get in a rainforest. If you cropped it would lose impact of the larger ferns shading the smaller ones from the sunlight.

Beautiful image..almost fairy-land in its composition and atmosphere. Beautiful centering of the little waterfall and its reflection in the sunlight.I can almost smell the dampness of the earth in this secluded spot. Looks like an enchanted place.

Lovely shot of this beautiful fern garden with the waterfall trickling down. I like the angle you used for this, showing the sunlight peeping through.

Lighting and focus very good showing excellent clarity. Very nice composition. Suzanne

What could possible not be to love. A water feature surrounded by beautiful green foliage. I could have stayed there all day. The sun plays well not to much just enough. DOF good. Color and contrast nice. I like the way that you framed it.

Mary,
A beautiful & mysterious picture of the Fern Garden beautifully lit by the dappled sunlight fitering through the trees over head leaving the magination to fill the dark coeners! Srtistic composition & lighting wth superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A refreshing sight. Love the angle showing the cascading water and the exotic ferns. Maybe, you can increase the lighting a bit. Impressive natural colors and you've framed this well.

Thanks so much, didn't want to play with lighting too much as this is the natural light whenever you go through a rainforest just dappled due to the larger ferns creating shade. :) Mary

Mary, you are right. Maybe, I find it so exotic, and I need a new prescription. Yes, just let it be. Sometimes, if something is so beautiful, I want is PROMINENTLY SHOWN, but I believed, that setting is the nature's best. thanks and take care.
