This is a really good presentation, it has so much character not only because of ,as you say, the textures of the facades but the depth that it portrays through its winding path that has cast shadows as it meanders into the distant background...much like the story, the history that is attached to it through your informative description...it disappears yet is remembered...it has structure, it has sharpness but most of all character...if i had a six it would be there but alas i have run out !!

Annie, I just love shots like this. It's what I used to take a lot of before I turned more nature with animals.

Your tonal values are perfect. Everything is clearly seen and the blue sky shows us that it was indeed a very pleasant day.

Well done.

very strange looking facades of the houses on the right, as if they were burnt just a few days ago; I like the angle and the paved street leading the eye around the corner; and as usual, interesting notes;

Great photo. Looks like we can jump in the photo and go for a stroll. Lighting and focus are great. Even with a lot of grey in this photo it looks spectacular.

I like the angle you used for this shot of the old buildings, making the viewer want to walk along the street, admiring the old facades and finding out what lies around the corner. Thank you for the interesting notes accompanying this. Very good lighting and focus. Lovely composition. Suzanne

An interesting initial impact.
Monochromatic structures.
Vintage architectural designs.
Great story telling factor.
Diminishing perspective. Vanishing viewpoint.
Subdued lighting! Pin sharp focusing. Compact framing. Thanks for sharing...
