A very nicely lit blossom. The texture in the petals is outstanding and the colors are beautiful. I like the way the flower stands out from this background and the way it seems to glow.

I guess I am bound to get homesick today. This is another flower I had in my garden at the Yucatan. There are color variants, but you found one which looks indeed like gold came to life. The shadow glow behind the blossom emphasizes that feel. It reminds me of a Nahuatl legend that there is gold hidden in the mountains where the vine grows.

This is lovely,... with your reflection in gold. Well done with the mirrored yet enlarged shapes. Excellent work and knowledge of your tools! That is the initial impact for me..it seems like the light has not only created a shadow but a reflection.
Your single flower is so perfect it would make a lovely boutonniere or corsage. I like seeing the textures in the petals...almost waxlike. Is that characteristic of this flower? The stamen seem to be catching that light creating that reflection.
