This is a terrific winter scene. The depth is very good and the hazy background at the end of the road is a nice effect. Good editing and focus. Very well framed. A lovely composition.

Monochromatic long scale contrast. Excellent white balance control.

A very pleasing presentation. The winding road leads the viewer onwards through the storm.

Good artist notes - like the narrative.

I really like the way the fence line accentuates the ruts in the snow covered road.

The trees are well met by your lens - they provide a nice feeling of scale and depth but do not dominate the scene.

Your camera technique has serves you well with this wonderful classic scene ... B-)) Bob

A gorgeous winter scene....you live in a beautiful area! Your choice of black and white works well here. A good tonal range through out your scene. Good contrast and balance between light and dark in this landscape image. I like how the lines from the car tracks draw the eye into your photography. Good artists notes and storytelling with your image. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing.

I have always loved playing in the snow. taking the kids sled riding are memories that always brings a smile when reminiscing about. This is any parents entertainment with the kids without any cost LOL. Driving in the winter however is something no one likes to do and this snowy road looks like it wouldn't be very much fun LOL
thanks for sharng

Great work Jack! I love the story this picture tells. It was a real pleasure to view this after reading about it. Imagining all of those things happening here. You really captured something special here. I also think you picked great effects for the photo. You gave it some age and character to match the age and character of the road. Keep up the good work!

This is a beautiful shot, Jack. It is composed perfectly so that the curve in the road draws the viewers eye into the scene in a dramatic way. There is also great anchoring of the scene with the large trees on the right and the fencing on the left. It has a great vanishing point in the distance. It has wonderful clarity where it is naturally clearer in the scene and evolves nicely into the naturally hazy distance. Your eye for an artistic shot is spot on. Deserves a six, but I am all out. Superb.

It's a fine winter scene Jack with great white balance/Exposure control, nice leading lines from the tire tracks, fencing, trees and utility lines.
Nice Perspective with fine focus.
