An interesting photo Susan. The almost iridescent colors jump out from the other darker parts of the image.
Using the oval frame adds a nice touch to the image and helps to focus the attention on the bird. Nice work Susan ~ Steve

Steve,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Kingfisher perched deep under the overhanging Willow branches making life difficult to get a clear view.

Your image really calls attention to the beautiful colors of this Kingfisher , I love the blue tones and that orange breast.
I like the way it is under the willow to digest it's fish.
Well composed with the orange frame, it gives the feeling that we are peeking through an opening in a wall to see this bird. Well presented!

Pat,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Kingfisher perched deep in the overhanging Willow. The iridescent blue is what usually gives it's presence away.

I think it is the first time I see the back of a kingfisher: usually only the beautiful glistening head;
a very good capture of his blue feathers;

Fred,
Merci beaucoup mille fois for your complementary review on this male Kingfisher busy digesting his freshly caught Minnow with his back towards me. It's usually it's iridescent blue back that catches my eye to it's presence.

A good looking nature shot posted here! Your fine composition and presentation suggests that your kingfisher has had a lot to eat recently! Sharpness and exposure are good. Well taken!
