ole marshal county..yeah i know where that is at..i was stationed at Ft. Sill for 6 years so i got to know the area back then..many years ago..lol..cool capture. the angle of the shot of this old angel statue is great. the capture of the light is great. the clarity is great. the image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

The statue is interesting. The angel looks indeed battered. I see the holes of the chigger mites. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The expression is interesting. I get the feel that the angel is mourning for a lost child. The mixed media is well composed and framed. The angel is excellent placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

These marble 'angelic style' figures ( small ones like this and those ranging on up to adult human sized ) were quite popular as cemetery ornaments in late nineteenth and early twentieth century times.
Many of them were ( and still are ) produced here in the New England states and your nicely presented photo of this one in a cemetery way out in Oklahoma is very good looking and a lot of fun to see.

Thanks again Sean, your insights are always helpful! What's really strange about this one is that it is not set on any particular grave. It is positioned about half way between two different headstone with different names on them. It was sort "lost" or something.

Very serene and mysterious. I can nearly hear the whispered prayer echoing throughout the cemetery. Love the vignetting, it really focuses the eye on this most treasured of scenes!
