This is fine example of what pet photography is all about.

A beautiful exposure. To often in cases like this the fur detail around the eye gets blacked out - not in this instance. You have achieved a balanced color throughout the scene - well done.

I like your background treatment, the color does not clash nor does it up stage the center of attention - a lesson lost on many pet shooters.

Another trap for the unwary is the over use of the vignette tool - not the case here.

All in all this is a professional looking pet portrait ... Bob

Mr D is a very handsome fellow as he sits there gazing up into your face with those beautiful amber coloured eyes the light sparkling in them, while highlighting his beautiful mottled black and white coat with touches of amber on his ears, cheeks & under his chin . Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Ahhhhh! He is SO handsome!! What a cute poser too. This is a wonderful shot of your sweet dog, I wish I could get one this good of my dog. His eyes are beautiful, he has a beautiful coat design as well! Is he a Blue Heeler? Amazing shot and good luck in the contest!

Mr. D is a beautiful boy indeed! He is well photographed with spot on focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear natural. I love his intelligent expression and those beautiful amber eyes!
Well framed portrait.
