Hi Charlotte!
I don't know much about 'serious' Photography but I know when I'm looking at a truly fine photograph and I think 'Evening Light' is definitely one of those!

Fine scene with the overcast skies and their green and blue tints toward the bottom. The ships are so silent seemingly, the dark greens in the water are nice. Best wishes.

Love this image with the evening light creating wonderful interest both in skyline and water as the reflections really stand out. Great composition with the space between boats drawing the eye to the clouds above. Good focus and dof.

Some great smoothness in the clouds and the water, serving as an excellent backdrop for the rich textures and details in the boats. I like how the sunlight seems to light up the boats, while leaving alone the water and boats. It's almost as if the boats are getting a blessing from above while they prepare for the mission ahead. Also a great angle at which the photo was taken, with the row of boats on the right coming towards the viewer, while displaying the other ones horizontally.

Charlotte .. This take is a prime example of why we call it the 'Golden Hour'. Colors take on an a glow and angles are heightened. And this piece has all that.
Camera settings are dead on. Focus is sharp and clear. DOF extends out to the horizon.
Contrast is sharp and long scale.
You were indeed fortunate to grab this shot with the perfect reflection from the water.
