Hi Jennifer.. If you had never seen this bird before you might never guess that it is an Oriole. It took me a while to figure it out.

I am very happy you liked this post. I had a lot of fun getting the shot.

Thanks for your words and the stars... Bob

Hi Bob, Looks like you did a good job of guessing what Baltimore Orioles like! LOL Love the way this one landed on your Hummingbird feeder. I like the POV of the shot! I don't think I've ever see an immature Baltimore Oriole so this was very interesting to me. Lighting is pretty good with soft focus. A really nice capture! :o) Nancy

Hi Nancy.. I had never seen one until we moved here. Most summers there are several along with the parents. This year this one is the only juvvy I've seen.

Thank you so much for a wonderful review and fine rating ... Bob

This is one beautiful bird and your capture of him is rather spectacular with the closeness and his markings so well seen, the eye sharp, and him hanging on. You blurred the background well indeed. Thanks for sharing, artist friend Bob.

What a wonderful capture of this young Baltimore Oriole.
He is sitting prettily on the feeder and well composed.
His brown and golden brown feathers forecast the striking colors that await next year.
The image is sharp and his perch adds interest.
As a bird watcher and provider of food, I can attest to the financial costs of feeding. But the pleasure of watching them is priceless.
Looking forward to seeing this fellow next year.

Hi Bay.. I don't have high hopes of seeing this one or any of its kin next year. Reason being the places where they can roost like my Rhododendron bushes have been defoliated by the Deer this past spring. The forest floor was covered with a 3 inch layer of ice, hence the Deer couldn't get to the mosses that sustain them.

Thank you so much, for the review and great rating ... Bob

We can hope for their return.
Have you read any of the rash of new articles about the healing nature of birdsong? Proven to help anxiety, depression, and sleeplessness. Interesting reading.
I've always loved listening to them, in the morning their songs are like symphonies.

Bob, congratulations on winning the reviewing reward. With all the fine reviews you gave me, I wasn't surprised to see that you won. This is a beautiful juvy Oriole hanging on. Hang in there for the humming bird. Very nice . Ray
