Serendipity strikes yet again Ray. My amigos and I were supposed to be at the trail head by 11 am in order to have the most light. The guy who knew the way here got lost instead. An hour late but the lighting worked. We didn't let our friend off the hook just because the lighting was better than we hoped, oh no. We made him shoot last and load our gear in the car. It was a good day.

Waterfalls are beautiful and mesmerizing, and quite difficult to capture. However the image and angle of the shot is great, but I think the shutter speed needed to be be faster to capture the water falling in more detail.

Freeze frame was how I started out shooting waterfalls. Over time I learned to gauge the exposure by the height, volume, and available light for each waterfall I visited. Personally I like the slower speed unless there is something in the water like fish. In which case I'll freeze the action and the water at 1/5000 or faster.

Absolutely amazing photograph, here. There's something miraculous about a waterfall. I can stand and stare at them forever. I always wonder where they come from or where they begin, and the sound is so relaxing and therapeutic. I love the way the Sun dapples off the water. It was a perfect time of day for your photo. Great exposure, nice balance, and intriguing subject. Thank you for sharing.
