Cindy, this is so cool translucent fruit sliced thin. I love the shadowing in the pulpy part. I think this is cool, I wonder where this could go, a glass tray perhaps,

Cindy, this is so cool translucent fruit sliced thin. I love the shadowing in the pulpy part. I think this is cool, I wonder where this could go, a glass tray perhaps,

This technique is so cool Cindy. I have done a lot of sessions with citrus fruit - its a lot of fun.
I have done a lot of this and I would like to offer some tips if you don't mind.
The intensity and duration of the light is most important. A short intense burst of light reflected up through the fruit will yield superior detail of the fruit tissues.
I used one of my strobes on a six foot extension cable. I used two 14 x 17 white card board backers for a reflector.

I have played with fruit before but always get sidetracked to another direction before I do a lot of experimenting. I will definitely give your suggestions a try. Thank you, Bob :)
