One of my favorite fruits to eat is grapes, I really like the green ones but they need to be a little bit firm that way when you bite into them you get that little burst of flavor when they break in half. This is a great piece of work being your first one and I really like it. It is well framed and I also see that it is entered in a contest and I wish you the best in it. JackJr.

Thank you so much, artist friend Jack, for your fine review. I like the green ones too; seemingly they are firmer but the darker ones have an ingredient that starts with an "r" as do the deep and darker red of the apples benefit more. My husband really likes the green Granny Smith apples; I do occasionally do also if they are not too tart. Thanks again for the review and for your nice sharing. This was my first use with this media and, with the soft felt-like velour pastel paper, it was not near as messy as charcoals I'v e used with before.

This is so realistic that I feel like plucking them and tossing them into my mouth. Lovely work. The use of colours and shading in this portrait is masterful, creating a sense of depth and dimension that's truly captivating. Nothing less than a SIX it deserves. ! Cheers!

Thank you so much, artist friend. I drew them rawer, with little blending, to experiment with this new media for me on my first use.

Neat looking clump grouped grapes. Shading right on. Vines and stems. Light reflecting on grapes. Background of a tanned kind of brownish yellowish. Grapes grouped in the right kind of bunches.

Once again it is great to have you stop by and review my work. You write a fine review but deduct .5. What should I do for it to be my usual 5 or more? Thank you so much, friend. This was my first use with colored charcoal pencils.
