OMG! My jaw dropped when this pic opened up! You've captured a wonderful moment in nature! The framing is well thought out, and the use of light and shadows adds both depth and character. Hi Pat, for sure, this is a magestic sunset. It takes up the whole shot. All those bright colors from yellow to brilliant orange, simply amazing. The horizon is perfectly placed. The blue in the sky compliments the orange and yellow in the clouds. It doesn't last long but leaves a lasting impact. Nicely presented. Ray

A beautiful image of the sunset with a lovely array of colors, including some gray clouds that contrast the beautiful reds and oranges.. The reflection in the water is outstanding.

Evening paints a setting
on the canvas of my dreams
Soft clouds disperse as curtains
displaying fluid streams
Invisible the angels
dance with ribbons 'cross the stage
to music of the stratosphere
played from age to age
The theme of untold stories
intrigues my finite mind
in mystic satisfaction
where my soul comes to unwind
In quietude I linger
Revelation beckons me
This moment of surrender
Speaks in silent reverie
Fine artistry of nature
is displayed in changing hues
Subjective is such beauty
in our timing of the view
You and I may sit and wonder
as we gaze the glorious skies
Interpreting these visions
while we see with diverse eyes

The same illumination

Another amazing AK sunet over water.
What got my first attention was the diagonal lines of the clouds and reflection in the water. The hint of cool blue sky contrasts very well with the warm colors of the clouds.
I like seeing the distant shore line to give the photo a great depth of field. Very nice.
