-
When I looked it up, it said that it can be slang for mosquito, did you mean the bird?
-
Lol .the Mississippi has numerous bayous with gators snakes and mosquitoes..since there such abundant supply we joke calling it our state bird. When I come to Florida and surrounded by the same critters I just exclaimed I'm home!
-
Aha, got ya, I've been through Mississippi and seen some gators;))
-
gator taste good. you gator is kinda like turtle..different parts of its body have different taste..wink..lol
-
we eat them there but my dream as a kid was to leave Mississippi..lol
-
Are you in Mississippi?
-
No been back in Florida for a decade but as a kid I grew up there along side the Mississippi river in the middle of the flatland Delta.
-
Cool, it's a unique place to grow up in, been to Florida too.
-
my kids can say that..me i have lived in too many places in my life..as a kid everytime i would move back to Mississippi from somewhere cool like Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, etc and i would say "where in the hell am i living" yeah it was a goal to leave that state when i turned 18..family keep making me come back..most of them are dead now so i doubt ill need to go back..wink.
-
Did you move around as a kid? I've moved over 20 times and lived in 6 countries so far, we don't have much family left either.
-
I would spends summers with family in Houston, st. Louis, Chicago and the Detroit area not counting I went to 4 years in military academy in 2 different schools. What sux about that is they weren't ROTC supported so I didn't get credit for that in the army..but after army I moved towards the money was at..I just sold my lil trailer and moved in with one of my daughters who lost her husband from a heart attack..that trailer I sold, I lived for 7 years. You know that is the longest time I have lived in one place in entire life. What a long strange trip it's been like Greatful Dead sings. Wink
-
I crossed the border in Canada and Mexico once each but many many decades ago. Everything else all around this vast country.
-
Strange trip for sure, it's good you are not alone:))
