Hi, I love the picture. Especially the contrast between the colours of the "white" house and the dark background, not to mention the amazing perspective.

While I agree the photo is eye catching, I wouldn't recommend the moving in with the cows. Do you know how much noise they make when the eat and then at night?? YOu will never get any sleep. I love the depth and sense of wide open spaces there are so few views like this now.

Initial response was "it's strong".
The detail, the color the composition; it's all good.
The barn ridge is not level meaning the photo is not level and it's a never no mind for this shot and may even enhance it to my eye.
The fences provide foreground entertainment .... bottom to top ... all good.

is the building upright, i am not sure if it is, great clarity, great exposure, pin sharp, need a bit more detail in the dark woods in the background

Yep, upright, built on a slope. Maybe be a bit more realistic from you? , dark woods, clouds casting shadows----

Very nice country, landscape and that barn so pristine white
coming through. The hills in the background just give it more
down home flavor. Nice dimension with clouds adding a touch, also.

LowRider, I really like most of your pics, including this one! It gets me out of the big city, from behind a desk into a place with fresh air (even if it's from the barnyard) and friendly down home people ... a real change of pace!
I have noticed that many or your works have a grainy texture to them on my screen, is this accurate? Probably the only thing keeping this one from a 5.
Initial impact 5
Creativity of presentation 4
Color Harmony 5
Center of Interest 5
Technical Excellence 4
Technique 5
Story Telling Ability 5
Lighting 5

Thank you very much photophan!! The original photos are not grainy and yes I know what you are saying. I think because of my scanner mainly, I scan a very good photo and it comes up on my system hazy, finally I will get a photo scanner and LCD monitor to better prepare my work, but not 'til Santa gets here-------I don't mention that on my notes because actually it is no excuse, if I am going to put it out there, I know my system is not the best and just figure that is my problem if I choose to post anyway. I do believe the new system will make quite a difference. I really appreciate your comments!! Thank you again!!

Nice one LowRider. Great view and perspective on the shot. Good use of available light. It is a view that would be hard to escape.

Where was this taken by the way? Many of your photos have that ...rural America feel to it and I do enjoy looking at them. The landscapes are very different from what we get over here in England.
