What lovely color blue! And what a topknot!

Great details throughout, great clarity and what an expression! You caught him looking at you and I think you might want to seek shelter!

Excellent, as always, Willie! Bev

Oh nice one! Beautiful bird well captured. Lovely detail in the feathers and the colouring. Pin sharp and good DOF. Background uncluttered and simple, making the bird really stand out. You're the man!

What a great close-up of this darling little blue jay. I didn't know a bird had whiskers but he seems too. And I love that pointed tuft of baby blue fur crowning his glory.

There you go again, pullin' out the big guns. It's really a special one, Willie.
Perfect in every way. Catch me, if you can!

Beautiful photo! Love that beady eye checking you out :) Great initial impact; colour harmony and centre of interest good; well lit and photographed to emphasise the subject in his beautiful finery. We don't have jays in New Zealand (well, at least I don't think we do) and I just LOVE these guys' mohawk hairdos!! They are so cute - I'm sure my cats would love them too, LOL! A really lovely shot, many thanks for sharing.

Thank you so very much! The jay don't like cats! He will make a lot of racket and dive bomb cats! A lot of times the cats will run from them! It is funny to watch!

Great capture. Your focus and clarity are excellent. Lighitng is great. Colors are really nice here, his blue cap really stands out. We used to have some blue jay brothers in our backyard, and they would dive bomb our cat for her food!

Thank you so very much! Cats are bad for birds! These guys will dive bomb a lot of things and make lots of racket too!

Hahaha my cat was scared of the blue jays-she was pretty tough too but she skeedaddled when they got after her.
