Wonderful photograph. Great composition. Colors are vivid with good contrast from water, to sky, to the darker tree lines as they curve around & frame the subject matter. Well done!

I like this picture quite abit. The composition is nice with the fisherman in the center, surrounded by water. Did you try zooming in some? I know your comment says this was toward the end of the day, but don't get that feeling. I love the picture and what all it is saying.

When I look at this photograph the first thing I observe is the large body of water and what seems to be a rather small boat with a man in it. He must be very agile because if I tried to get into that boat I would be in the water!
I find the composition of your photo quite appealing the only thing I think I would like to see is a little brightening of the colors to give some character to the very dark green trees.
Are you happy with your Nikon D5100? I have a Nikon D5100 also.

I like it...shows the peace and tranquility of the day. I am a water fan so the more water the better in most cases. Colors are true. Visualizing the atmosphere is easily to do with this shot.

I understand the intent I think, but to me the greens are not predominant enough, what is there seems to be sparse. And to me it is in need of better lighting. I am also thinking the focus seems off or is that lack of detail, all because of the lighting. The angle of the shot is good, the perspective is good as well.

Absolutely brilliant. I like that the fisherman is close enough to notice, but far enough to be anyone (if that makes since). Great contrast, detail, angle and color.

Nice mood shot. The colors are intense but I have a problem with the bland, empty sky. I know you can't control all the conditions but clouds or birds or cropping or something to fill or reduce that expanse of space.
