Not a cat featured that often on FAR. Yet I think it is one of the most beautiful. All cats have wonderful eyes which I find mesmermising. But what attracts me to this type of cat are the ears with the tufts that extend outwards. Not sure if they are just decoration or whether they aid the cat in some way. Your use of light is very good with some areas of the cat's coat highlighted and others in shade. The cat's coat is very well detailed and had I not read you used soft chalk, I would have sworn you have used paint and a brush. Like the colours in the background which compliment the grey tones in the cat in particular.

I think the eyes are well-done for sure in this piece, and I like the way the background reinforces the colors of the eyes. I see a lot of natural growth of the fur with the way your strokes go. The only thing I'm not quite satisfied with is the ear on the right side, as it seems like it should be a little smaller if it is slanted away from the viewer, but if you were working from a photograph, maybe that's what it really looked like.

I think the eyes are well-done for sure in this piece, and I like the way the background reinforces the colors of the eyes. I see a lot of natural growth of the fur with the way your strokes go. The only thing I'm not quite satisfied with is the ear on the right side, as it seems like it should be a little smaller if it is slanted away from the viewer, but if you were working from a photograph, maybe that's what it really looked like.
