A great composition with the shadow perfectly placed in the frame. Very fine details in both the shadows and highlights of the black fur. His facial expression and the look in his eye is just precious. Good luck in the contest.

Like the composition with the subject and its shadow well placed.
Congratulations in showing a black dog with good detail in the same image with snow that also contains nice detail - not the easiest of tasks.
Focus properly placed on the elye. Nice dog portrait.
Would suggest changing the category as I would not consider this one to be nature photography.

You show off God's creation of light better than anyone I know. ;)
The sun is lighting up Ronja superbly, making her black coat of fur just shine. I know the difficulties of shooting black birds and black dogs. Your focus is tack sharp and your exposure handling the white snow is Spot on. Love the complete shadow we see of Ronja due to the angle you so cleverly shot this.
Each post you make...I am more and more in awe of your gifted hands and eyes....humbled I get to call you my Dearest Friend.
Good luck... super work! Socks are off and I am frozen! :)
