Nice use of the colors within the composition. The warm colors against the cooler lavender color really helps the eye come in on the dog. The lavender color and the dog coloration, but it really pop the rose.

The heart shape framing adds a good touch of sentimentality to the image.

The detail on the rose and the eyes is well created, a very effective drawing using the media.

Awwwww this is really precious! What a very sweet and lovable face. I am surprised that there is no art valentine contest also. I guess I will post my Valentine art close to the Day. Really nice layout here, and love that rose in the mouth. Yellow cats are always so friendly and loving, so yellow dogs must be that way also! Coming for my sweet tea! Thanks.
