I for one love Celtic Mythology and indeed wrote a book "The Celtic Holy Grail Quest." This is a great capture of a Celtic supernatural being, haunting and mesmerising.

Haunting. That was the word that sprang to mind when I saw this unusual and original digital art. She has a magical, almost ghostly, luminescence that is really captivating.

Thank you Crissie! Once again you are right. She is not real, she is a spirit appearing out of nowhere. Celtic Mythology is unique. Were other cultures have clear lines between myths and history; in Ireland it all is fused together. She is a goddess-queen, a fairy-spirit, a ghost in modern urban legend and a warrior princess in video games.

Thank you, thank you! You cannot know what this review means to me. Divine, that is what I tried. It was harder to archive than one would think. I lost count, how many times I started over, but I worked on and of on this since March last year.
    Thank you!!!

Interesting story. She is so cute. I really like how you've done her face. Very different and unique. I think the background is a bit strange but it certainly brings drama to the work. Very nice, drawing good, nice image!

    Thank you very much Natalie.
I did the background this strange way in order to emphasize the somewhat ghostly materialisation of her spirit at night.

The capture of the light is so creative and the the blending of the black is done well and has texture. Really nice note:)

Beautifully done Cleo, very good use of your highlighting and shoadows to bring up nice depth. I love your notes and great appreciate them. I has no idea this is the origin of the "wee folk", we will be in Ireland in early May, so I'll tuck away this bit of knowledge :))

Thank you! Early May? There is an ancient spring festival connected with the arrival of the Tuatha in Ireland, but I have to check on the when and where. I let you know. :O)
reply by Snopaw on 16-Feb-2014
We will be there on the 28th in Cork and on the 29th Dublin, April that is :)

It does not work out. I was thinking the spring festival takes place in March, but I was wrong. It takes usually place in the beginning of February.
I do not know where you will be but just in case you come near it; one of the treasures of the Thuata De Danann actually exist. The Stone of Fal, Irish: Lia Fail [Stone of Destiny] is located at Tara in Meath Country. [It served as coronation stone for the High Kings of Ireland in documented history. :o)
