I like this painting of a cat very much. I too like to capture animals (but I draw, not paint). The details in this are amazing. I think this will do well in the contest. Good luck.

Great detail. I love the look of the cat. The detail of the fur. The eyes are perfect. She comes right off the page. I love seeing the strokes and blending. I did landscape pastels and pencil when i was young. It takes much work to ger it just right as you did. Beautiful subject beautiful piece.
