oh i love Venice, one of my favourite places in the world and probably why i proposed there...Your picture brings back memories of 2011 for me and the wonderful gondola ride down the Grand Canal . Night time in Venice is awesome and you have a wonderful presentation of this here with a super presentation

A stunning night time picture of the Grand Canal in Venice with the lights twinkling & then being reflected along with the pink night sky on the canal with Gondoliers in silhouette seen bringing people along & across the canals. Artistic Canaletto style composition, beautiful framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Romance in Venice!
Banding is when the transition between colors is not smooth, what can create patterns of vertical lines. You have some prominent banding in the sky and most likely in the other parts of the print. Banding is difficult to catch when there is much detail, or objects such as gondolas, hotels water ripples, but we can find it in the sky. You have overworked this.
I do like the warm colour hues of life along the shore and your compositional style is nice.

Lovely image and composition of this night shot in Venice. Clarity is good for the low light and colours of the lights on the water add interest as do the boats. It certainly is good story telling and nicely cropped.
