That is amazing! Loved it when I first looked, but looking closer as you said on a Log? Never seen anything like it. Sure brought a smile on me for sure. Thanks for great photo. Royal

There is a loot of food around, none goes hungry. The babies seem almost as big as mom. Evidently they feel more save with mom still around.
The green Duckweed and low light are an ideal background to emphasize that lazy bunch of well feed birds. The photo is well composed, balanced and framed.

I love the way mom and babies are lined up on the log , like e the green tones in the duckweed and the green branch in back left, I love that four of the ducks are facing forward and two have their backs to you but have turned their heads so that all faces show, this is well focused , the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones are natural. Well composed and presented!
