This is such a remarkable mounting scene in the winter time. I love that everything looks blue and white and then you see a little bit of red of the barn. You've captured a fantastic image and a wonderful composition. Thank you so much for sharing such outstanding photography

Very beautiful photograph. Very well balanced. The eye is drawn to the barn, but yet the sky balances if out. Nicely composed and crisp. Good work!

Pat, All that's missing in this take is an open sleigh and team, jingling along and maybe a couple three kids appropriately attired making a snow man or cavorting about and gadzooks, it's Currier and Ives goes to alaska!

There is something in the contrast and tone of the scene that sends signals of the famed duos work through my head. I think its the starkness of the barn against the environment.

The WB control for this shot is excellent. Super fine edge detail in the clouds. But what really gives away super WB control is the sharp edge sharpness between the black exposed rock and the snow line - they are sharp and easily seen. In a shot like this with a world of white I most often see that dividing line as a grey shadow that dulls the contrast. I don't see that here.

The high degree of artisanship and technical prowess displayed in this composition reflects the highest standards of FAR ... Bob P B-))

Thank you so much Bob! I wished a horse drawn sled would have pulled into the frame! It was possible as this is our farm area.i appreciate your wonderful comments and I am truly honored by your six stars!

A good looking image posted here! Your fine and classical composition has me wondering why anyone would want to build a house in such a cold and isolated location?! Nicely done!

This is such a beautiful scene. It is SO Alaska. The placement of the red barn in the frame is perfect. The color pops and it shows how big the peak behind it is. So nice that you had some blue sky to add an additional patch of color.

That's an Outstanding picture,Pat!
It definitely has a 'Cold' tone ( which is something I'm not all that fond of! Lol! ) but it's undeniably beautiful too! : D

This is outstanding and presents as a painting instead of a photo! The beautiful colors are well defined and the pop of red from the barn sets this apart from a normal photograph. I love the frosted tree and the gorgeous tall mountain as the background to this pleasing photo!

Love how the red pops against the subdued tones of the background. Very dramatic. Superb composition and use of spot color... I want to live in that red barn. Nice view
