I am almost in tears Debbie, you obviously have an affinity with people who are less fortunate than yourself and your heart is as big as the U.S.A.!!!!The story telling is just wonderful and the photograph of Jakes home is an eye opener but it still has a warmth and comfortable feeling to it.A little run down but then again the character is within sight of this home.I applaud your courage and I admire everything you do in your pursuit of Excellence.Bravo and Love to Jake from me...lol.(No Mooning to me either..lol)

What beautiful words Sim!! Thank you from the 'git go'!! You always make me smile so big!! LOL!! Yep, had all the moonin' I want for quite a while!! I did mention to Jake, from now on, please be more proud of yourself rather than your butt---!

The distraction are not at all distracting. The is a really good photo of this subject. The lighting and focus are good. I would like to see its left edge for a little more DOF, but it is still good as is. Nice shot.

I am kind of glad you did not photograph that little man mooning you ;)

Wonderful story! You meet such nice pleasant souls on your tours! I feel for this man! I don't feel there are distractions of such, especially when your story is told! It is a reason everyone should put a caption regarding the image, it adds so much human quality and allows one to see the true image as it was meant to be portrayed! I salute you for the ability you have to put such wonderful and thought provoking stories! Excellent photo with great focus! Anything this man has outside is part of his real world and I wouldn't consider it clutter or distraction! In fact it adds to this photo, I hope you well in your visits with this him! Thanks for sharing this!!!!

What a tremendously, heart warming review Ron, I so thank you! I truly believed I would be so bashed for the photo, but I visited Jake last week again, just to say Howdy, and he continues to 'leach' to my heart, guess I just had to let his warmth out.

Debbie, Thanks for sharing with us the story of Jake. The photograph is like you say, a bit cluttered. The technical aspects of the photo seem fine.

Really cozy feeling looking at that little cabin.. Can imagin so many stories been going on there..Wooden walls make excellent contrast to the white snow.. Nice piece.. But the angle is not so artistic.. a littke... JImx
