Great notes and what a stunning looking purple crocus. I recently posted a small bunch of crocuses myself, they where white with fine purple stripes down, it was called 'Pickwick'. This is a real beaut and stands out even more with the black background and to add a little extra color with the yellow in centre of the flower and green stems. Just the strong saturation causing the black speckled bits on the inside of the petals, which does spoil this strikingly looking flower and the way its open up and looking upwards. With the focusing being smoothed out on the inside of the petals with using to much color adjustment in the saturation. A good attempt to a wonderful flower. Very well done! (digitalscud). Another breathtakingly beautiful flower photograph. Simply beautiful. It looks almost like satin. The sheen is stunning. An excellent composition and focus. Love the pretty colors also.
