Her eyes and soft smile draws us in. You did a fine job on her facial features, her expression and the realistic details from her hair and clothing... right down to her earing stud are all superbly executed with each brush stroke.

This is a beautiful portrait in watercolours. The colours you used are just perfect for the skin and hair and the eyes really sparkle - very lifelike. The softened background makes a perfect frame.

This is an impressive work in water colors, because it is not very much room for mistakes when you work in this media. The background is very effective with a gradient from light blue to textured greens. The latter has given this portrait such a fine depth.
This is also painted with great attention to details, and especially the eyes are done really well. You have managed to get a shine into them giving them so much life. Even if you only saw the eyes you would know straight away that this girl is smiling.
I also like the way the hair is curled in such a soft and natural way, and the fine textures of the blouse. Your color pallet is excellent and especially the skin tones are brought out nicely with nice shadings.
It is nothing wrong with the composition either. The format is perfect and the girl well placed within the frame. It is a very good balance between positive and negative space. Indeed a beautiful and well crafted water color painting.

Oh my... this is so nice. You don't say which kind of student she is... but I'm hoping it's an art student -- as this well done. The facial features are balanced, true, and her expression appears unique to her (probable) personality. Nice background -- interesting, but not distracting. Very good work.
