It is a modern version of the ancient queen, the cubist influence is strong. The connection to the original are vague, but the influence of the ancient sculptures are evident with the head dress and the yellow circle reminding of the sun discus. The painting works due to the combination of crossing lines, shapes and colors. The composition is balanced. The colors are in harmony with each other.

Nicely created image that is fun to look at. The stretched and elongated lines in the portrait are countered by the very geometric forms in the balance of the image. Good use of color to create interest. Well conceived.

Your welcome. I think you could have taken this even further into the cubist style.

Ah, King Tut's mother Queen.
I like your unique creativity in your artwork Linda. I understand the lines from a technical aspect, but I actually like how it now gave this a stain glassed like appearance.
Great colors and fine work on the queen as even without a title most of us would know who she is. Her first look reconstructed was in Feb this year.
Beautiful work Linda ;)

I really like the way you have done this one by dividing the board into different shapes and then added colors. I am not very familiar with cubist art, but to me it looks like you achieved what you wanted.
I like very much your color pallet and the style of your drawing, and even if it has an simplistic expression, it is easy to see that you have paid very good attention to details. The coloring is also nicely done.
The format and framing is perfect and I think it is a good balance in the composition. I think this is a lovely portrait. It is original, artistic and well done, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I like how the abstract of the background resembles pyramids.
I like the bright colors, they really accent the piece.
Well done and thank you for sharing this with us.

Using the pyramidal design within the portrait is brilliant and appropriate for the subject. Excellent overall design with great color choices. The whole piece makes her look both modern and ancient at the same time. Interesting effect. Good luck in the contest.
