Nice story behind the drawing of these to so different pigeons. The details and overlapping composition is superb. They both look at you while you are painting yet with different intensity. Great artwork, Lucien!

I like that sudden change of color from one bird to another; it really pauses me for a second when I scroll across the image and really take in everything I'm viewing. I like that effect and it has a somewhat symbolic atmosphere to it, which adds to the already great realism drawn. I appreciate the rich detail you put into this one and how you even took the time to add the sheen to the black bird's feathers; it does come to life.

I appreciate all the shading that is required to show the feathers and the birds anatomy. I can imagine that it's quite tedious because you also have to form the body's curves. I like the eyes with catchlight too. Excellent
