I like this. The shading just adds to the story, and the soft antique colors make it truely special. I remember the old singer's, long may they live. Nicely done, great presentation, great initial impact. Thanks for sharing a beautiful shot.

Good subject matter. Tells a story. Good exposure. Not a fan of the fade around the edges. Some texture not a lot of contrast.

A nice nostalgic photo with a pleasant impact ,good depth color and tone .It is however the story telling ability that grabs me most ,Is it grandmas or a scene from some older time

Enjoyed reading your story.
This is a nice photograph of a lovely old sewing machine.
My grandmother had one exactly like it.
Nice focus and detail. I like the way you've added vinette. The whole image is nice presented.
Good luck in the contest.

What a lovely, old fashioned style photograph you have managed to create here. The subject is interesting and has been displayed well, the artist notes add an extra dimension to the viewers understanding. The colour harmony is sympathetic to the era and works really well.

My reviews are set to "Blinders" which means the names of those who are being reviewed, are not shown.
Thus the reviewer does not know who the artist may be or if they are one of my Fans and so am not influenced by reputations of the artist. That way you get a fresh review or your work, as each piece is a new challenge.

Interesting image, the tonal range is quite good. From yellows, pinks, browns and blacks. . . .

Highlights are very good without being blocked.

It has good mid tones, and darker areas with detail. Including blacks without detail, which gives it a great contrast range.

Many photos are too dark or light and flat or grayed, without sufficient contrast for the subject. But, but you have a good image.
Keep working or learning more and one day you may come to like it as much as I do. :)

Some say they would not change the way anything was captured in the camera. They think of photos like a Journalist does, only recording reality.

Artists change anything which the creative side of their brain, motivates them, to express themselves in their images. They put a part of themselves into their art.

They communicate things, that no straight photograph ever can. If we communicate our feelings to one or more people, we are successful. Money is not the measure of success to an artist.

Nice photograph, great trip down memory lane. I like that you did not centre the sewing machine and the vignetting that freally sets it off. Wilf
