Hi Jack,
I really like your first post on FAR. It looks to me like you have a solid knowledge of camera skills because the focus is dead on and the exposure is perfect.
Compositional style is very nice but I do think that YOU know what I'm about to say next....you are too tight up top and need more marginal space up there to balance the image. You can do this easily through Photoshop manipulation but I see you this is a SOOC image. I love the two buds that are hugging this beauty.
The colour palette is very realistic and the dof you used softening the background but not so much as to lose the flavor of the story.

The deep pink center with the pastel outer petals makes this a beautiful bloom and you have captured it well. Like the buds either side of the full bloom. Good focus and dof.

Thank you for your comment, I was debating on this one and I noticed that it needs to be more centered but this is why I am on this site to learn how to take better pictures. I am a new beginner but I know that I will learn a lot if I stick it out. Once again I really appreciate your review, Thank you very much. JackJr.

If you wish a close up in a square format then it needs to be centered but if there are leaves or buds then an off center in a rectangular framing works well. If you have an fb account I can help demo the framing before posting it here...

good capture of this beautiful pastel pink rose, just a tad too tight at the top; good balance with the buds on either side, but I think your framing could be better by rotating a little bit to have the larger left bud on a diagonal line;

Thank you for reviewing my picture, I really appreciate it. When I posted this I noticed that it was a little bit close to the top , I wanted to get started on this site just to see how it goes. I think that I am going to like it, and also it is a learning tool for me to learn from. JackJr.
