Thank-you. I love bringing animals to life through drawings. It's a passion.

ButterflyKisses, your name deserves five stars, and so does this drawing. I am going to assume that his/her snout is not clipped off in the original, and hope that the tail managed to stay in tact. Now with that said, I think this is an amazing work of art. The detail is extraordinary and the manner in which the various shades and layers are executed is extremely impressive. It certainly looks like a lizard to me! Congratulations!
Peace, Papa

LoL. Thank-you, Papa! There definitely is extra room in the original around the nose. I had to crop the matte out, and it just grazed his snout. Still, none did get cut off. His tail is intact in real life, but the whole thing is not included in the drawing. I wanted a close-up shot of him. Thanks so much for the review!

Excellent work here, I'm guessing that the original was maybe a bit large for the scanner and that is the reason for the head being so very close to the upper left corner? not only is this drawing a wonderful treat, but I think the photograph would also do well if you posted it.

Thank-you. I may consider that. The photo turned out really awesome. No scanner involved, actually. I took a digital photo of him, and I cropped out the matte, and it got pretty close. There is room in the original, though. Thank-you again!

This is wonderful ....you are very very talented. This looks more like a black and white photo than a drawing. Are you planning on furthering your education by going to art school? I can imagine that you would do well in every medium.

Thank-you. Yes, I am an art major. I started art classes my senior year in high school, and I am now a freshman in college. Figuring out how to turn this into a living is the hard part, but I look forward to the hard work and eclectic career options. Art is endless. That's what I love most.

This one is quite well done. The softness works and feels like the lizard is in the blazing sun. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thank-you so much. In the photo, there were more rocks in the background, but when I imagined the blended background, it made a lot of visual sense and seemed to make him look like he's under a spotlight. I then added in stronger shadows under him, and it really made the lighting pop. Thanks for your comment. :)

THis is amazing!! Very well done. It looks lifelike. I really like the way you blended in the pencil and made the face and tail stand out more. Very good. THe detail is exceptional.

Excellent and impressive crafting of pencil work, ButterflyKisses. Your attention to detail and all the elements that layout a textured and contoured end result is awesome. I think the best aspect of this piece, well there are so many, is your picking up the shedding scaling from his tailbone down and on his nose. The backlit background texturizing as well as the rock's portrayal of a rough surface shows just how many faces of the pencil you choose to utilize. I truly look forward to more of your work. Just beautiful...light and dark, contrast, shading, proportionment and that great eye. :)
