real nice butterfly shot this,with extremly good detail in this,good crop/position in the frame,makes for a good photo,if i have one thing in this is the mauve flower in bottom left hand corner,which is a tad distracting,but other than that,nice shot...brian

This is an excellent photo of a butterfly. It stands out so well against the nicely blurred background. Personally I would have cloned out the clover in the upper left corner though.
Your focus is pin sharp showing great details in the butterfly. Also the clover it is sitting on is well defined. The exposure is perfect and the colors are nice and natural.
The butterfly is well placed within the frame together with a neat cropping. I think this is a lovely photo and the image is nicely balanced and with excellent DOFF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so very much for a good review and high score! I took your advise and cloned out the clover on the top left. Take a look and see if that looks better to you.

Very nice focus and color. Wonderful moment. It feels as if the butterfly is just about to take off and yet the focus is not lost. Great depth of field and I enjoy the off centered composition. Good luck in the contest!

They're a beautiful butterfly. My daughter buys their caterpillars and watches them develop in her own little butterfly farm.
Good capture of this one getting clover nectar. Great focus, nice depth of field. Pleasant lighting and color. Good capture!
