I love black and white, and this was a great idea, the contrast is nice as well is the compostion, this image could symbolize a lot of things or represents a lot of things making it useful, good job.

I don't think it would have worked in colour so well. Thanks for your comment.

sysop912, congratulations on this imaginative and creative photograph. It has an extremely strong impact and technically is above reproach. It is perfectly sharp and the focus is perfect. It is awesome and I am highly impressed. Congratulations.

Papa thank you sincerely for your detailed analysis of this image. It has provoked a stronger meaning to me since reading some of the posts, including yours, on this image than from when I initially submitted it.

Nice photo. I was instantly attracted to the thumbnail, and I still enjoy the enlarged version. This is definitely a very artistic photo. I like the fact that it is in black and white. It just wouldn't have the same dramatic affect if it were in color. The framing is very nice as well. Good job!

It is a well done composition. It suggests powerful action and determination. Very dramatic and full of tension. It is particularly effective as a black and white photo.

Thank you, when I originally tried the capture, my camera wouldn't focus on the wire alone, so I set the timer and ran around the other side, thinking my hands would make a better target for the auto focus. This is what I cam out with. Due to low battery life, the flash failed to fire, I think it worked out better this was. Thanks again. Brian

I think what you caught was fantabulous! Much better than only the wire. Isn't it amazing how some of the best come by accident! And I'm glad the flash did not fire, it gave it that sense of strength it needed! Try more along this line, I think you've found something that works!

Excellent composition. The lighting is fabulous, adds a lot of the overall appearance. The focus is very good. This photograph makes a very dramatic statement. Black and white is a great choice.
