Your stop action is amazing. I love wave, especially ones that crash up on walkways, or lighthouses. This is a perfect shot. There is power galore in this picture.

Fred,
A beautiful stop action picture of the wave breaking on the pier the spray's motion frozen by your fast exposure. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Quite a contrast then to the usual scene! Your central composition does a good job of capturing the essential action. Perhaps the image is slightly under exposed? Otherwise good effort!

Fantastical STOP action on the water impact SPLASH up Fred!
Great shutter speed, fine sharp focus, crisp details and fine POV with great leading lines from the railing and I love the inclusion of the lamp post.
Nice work :)

Great capture of the waves splashing over the pier. We had a tidal surge last week where I live in the UK - quite spectacular as long as you keep your distance! I like the little splash of colour in the distant trees. Excellent lighting and focus. Very good composition. Suzanne

LOL - wicked is just what I think... Glad I'm not standing nearby. Great shot for capturing the movement of that water - focus spot on. Great color and lighting as well. Thanks for sharing.

Hi supergold
Lovely capture of a splashed pier. The range of motion is evident in the landscape format you have used and a bit of mystery is added by the invisible cause of the splash. Thanks for sharing! R

a very nie catch supergold.
as I love the still shot as a bigger wave added a high mark as it looks 10/11ft or higher. sound like it was a moving ride with these waves.
thank you foe sharing.

ron
